How to Review a Fraud Listing Alert
Overview:
A pending listing is a property listing that ShowingHero and PropertyShield cannot verify as legitimate or fraudulent. To ensure security, you will receive an email requesting your review and confirmation. Follow the steps below to complete the verification process.
Email Notification Details:
When a pending listing is identified, you will receive an email from PropertyShield containing some or all of the following information:
∙ Listing address
∙ Platform where the listing was found
∙ Location details
∙ Listing price
∙ A message prompting you to review the listing
Email Example:
1. Click on the "Review Listing" button in the email. You will then be redirected to your PropertyShield dashboard
2. Review the following details on the dashboard, also shown in the example below: o Property address
o True owner information
o Listing details
o A screenshot of the actual listing with an embedded link to view the listing on the actual website
3. Under "Review Pending Listing," select one of the following options: o Option 1: "This is a fraudulent ad."
o Option 2: "This is not a fraudulent ad."
4. If you select Option 2, further specify by choosing one of the following options: o "This is a valid listing posted by my company."
o "This listing belongs to another company or address."

By reviewing such listings, you help maintain the integrity of property listings and prevent fraudulent activities. Timely responses ensure legitimate listings remain active while fraudulent ones are flagged and removed.
