How to use the rich text editor or "WYSIWYG" (What You See Is What You Get) editor

This document is a guide for using the rich text editor or "WYSIWYG" (What You See Is What You Get) editor at various places in ShowingHero. Some areas where it is used are while providing property description, updating the content of the email notification template, etc. 

Here are the buttons available in the editor along with their respective uses. We recommend consistently utilizing the provided buttons for copying, pasting, or manually adding content to ensure efficiency and accuracy in your workflow.

1. Source: The "Source" button lets you switch between the visual view (how users see the content) and the HTML source code view (how the content is structured in code) View and edit the underlying HTML code of the document. Modify formatting by manipulating HTML tags (e.g., <p>, <div>, <a>, etc.).

2. Templates: These effectively can streamline your writing process, ensure consistency, and enhance the overall professionalism of your documents. To add the template, please use the Template option.

3. Cut: this function allows you to remove selected content from its original location and place it elsewhere. To cut any text please use the Cut button.

4Copy: it allows you to duplicate selected text or elements without removing them from their original location. Please use the Copy button to copy.

5Paste: When pasting content, the formatting of the source is retained. Preserving the original style of the copied text, such as from another webpage or document.

6. Paste as Plain Text: This action of inserting text into a document or application without any formatting. This is often used to ensure that the pasted text adopts the formatting of the surrounding content instead of retaining any original styles, fonts, or other formatting attributes.

7. Paste from Word: This allows you to paste text from a Microsoft Word document while maintaining its formatting.

8Left justify: Left justification is the most commonly used alignment, where text is aligned with the left margin, creating an even left edge and a ragged right edge. Click the "Align Left" icon in the toolbar (usually represented by horizontal lines aligned to the left).

9. Center Justify: Center justification places text or content evenly between the left and right margins, creating a symmetrical look. Click the "Center Align" icon in the toolbar (usually represented by horizontal lines centered)

10Right Justify: Right justification aligns text to the right margin while leaving the left edge ragged. Click the "Right Align" icon in the toolbar (usually represented by horizontal lines aligned to the right).

11Block Justify: Block justify creates a clean, professional look in documents by aligning text evenly along both the left and right margins. Click the "Justify" icon in the toolbar (represented by four horizontal lines of equal length).

12. Text Color: This is used to enhance readability, emphasize important content, and create visual appeal in both digital and printed content. The choice of text color can impact the overall design and communication of a document, website, or graphic.  Use the "Text Color" button to change the color of the text.

13. Background Color: What it does: is a powerful design element used to enhance readability, create visual appeal, and structure content in both digital and print formats. The choice of background color impacts how users perceive and interact with the content. Use the "Background Color" button to change the background color behind the text.

14. Bold: This is a typographic style used to emphasize specific words or phrases, making them stand out in a document. Click the Bold button to bold the selected text.

15. Underline: This is a text formatting style used to add emphasis, indicate importance, or signify specific functions in written content. Click the Underline button to underline the selected text.

16 Strike Through: This is a text formatting style that places a line through the center of a word or phrase, indicating that the text is no longer relevant, is incorrect, or has been removed. Click the Strike Through button to place a line through the center of a word or phrase.

17. Subscript: This is a text formatting style that places characters slightly below the normal line of type, often used in scientific, mathematical, and technical writing. Click the  Subscript button to place characters slightly below the normal line of type

18. Superscript: This is a text formatting style that places characters slightly above the normal line of type. Click the  Superscript button to place characters slightly above the normal line of type.

19. Insert/remove numbered lists: are a useful formatting tool in documents, emails, and presentations for organizing information in a clear, sequential manner. To add or remove numbers it please use the button Insert/remove numbered lists, to add or remove the numbering**.**

20. Insert/remove bulleted lists: These are a great way to organize information in a clear and easy-to-read format. They are particularly useful for presenting items that do not require a specific order. To add or remove bullets please use the button Insert/remove numbered lists, to add or remove the numbering.

21. Decreasing indent: This is a formatting option that helps control the placement of text within a document, allowing you to adjust the distance of paragraphs or lines from the left margin. To adjust the distance of paragraphs or lines from the left margin use the Decreasing indent button.

22. Increasing indent: This is a formatting tool that helps control the placement of text within a document, allowing you to move paragraphs or lines further from the left margin. To move paragraphs or lines further from the left margin use the  Increasing indent button.

23. Insert/Edit Link:  Add clickable links by using the "Insert/Edit link" button. Click the button, paste the link, and insert it into your document.

24. Remove Link: This is used to delete or disable a hyperlink that has been applied to text or an object in a document, email, or webpage. This action removes the clickable functionality but keeps the visible text or object intact. Use the Remove Link button to remove any link.

25. Insert/Edit Image: This feature allows you to add images to your document, resize them, and adjust their positioning and formatting. Click "Insert/Edit Image," upload a file, and send it to the server to include it in your document.

26. Insert/edit tables: This helps greatly enhance the organization and presentation of data. To add the table click on Insert/edit table and add the required data in the open pop-up table properties, i.e. column, row, etc.

27. Insert horizontal line: This is an effective way to enhance the visual structure and organization of your content. to add the horizontal line click on the Insert horizontal line button.

28. Insert smileys (emojis): This can add a touch of personality and emotion to your communications, whether in emails, documents, or presentations. To add Smileys please click on the Insert Smileys button.

29. Insert special characters: can enhance your documents, emails, and presentations by adding unique symbols, accents, or other characters that are not readily available on the keyboard. To add special characters please use Insert special characters button.

30 Style: This helps maintain consistency, improve readability, and enhance the overall visual appeal. To change the style use the Style option.

31. Format: This is crucial for enhancing clarity, organization, and overall professionalism. For formatting use the Format option.

32. Font: This is crucial for improving readability, establishing a professional appearance, and conveying your message. For improving readability, and establishing a professional appearance use the Font option.

33. Size: This is essential for creating a clear visual hierarchy, improving readability, and enhancing overall communication. For changing size use the Size option.
